Suzanne’s talent and skills were evident from an early age. A long queue of classmates attested to her ability as a draftswoman and artist. She had her first exhibition at the age of 14, and went on to study at the Colchester School of Art and then at the Backhouse School of Art. Suzanne graduated with an Honours degree in fine art painting in the 1980’s. She was tutored by Dick Ward and Barry Hirst.

She is interested in expressive movement light and life and works with her clients to create striking pieces expressing their personality and sensuality. Although she concentrates on figurative works, Suzanne’s work extends from pastels to oils and portraits to landscapes.

Her style is influenced by artists as diverse as Lucien Freud, Paula Rego, Chuck Close, and Egon Schiele, but her style is definitely her own.

Her work is held in private collections and she has exhibited across the UK.

In recent years her focus has been on commissions and corporate work for clients as varied as Kent County Cricket Club Supporters group, Lady Kingsdown, Oasis, the fashion brand, Leeds Castle, Roseacre School, Mandy Ellen Performing Arts group and the Sambourn School Project in Kenya.

Prices start at £75 for a print. An A1 pastel is typically £800 (for one portrait). Oil pricing is very dependant on size and subject. An A1 oil would be around £3000.
